Contact lenses have been around for more than a hundred years and can
correct vision problems (such as nearsightedness, farsightedness,
astigmatism or presbyopia). In the past, older generation of contact
lenses tend to be less comfortable and can reduce the flow of oxygen to
the cornea to some extent. With improved technology, new contact lens
materials like silicon hydrogels supply adequate oxygen to the eye and
allow your eyes to breathe more easily. Almost anyone can wear contact
lenses – even some babies are fitted with contact lenses when they have
eye problems!
